Forward and reverse motor control complete wiring for three phase motor
This video shows a complete, easy to follow tutorial on how to wire a "FORWARD AND REVERSE MOTOR STARTER", from beginning to end.
One important thing to note when wiring forward and reverse motor control is to ensure a means of interlocking the two contactors, so that both contactors will not close at the same time. this is important because, the reversal is achieved by interchanging two lines at the out put of the contactor and if both contactors close at the same time, there will be a short circuit between the reversed lines.
There are two ways of providing the interlock: Mechanical and Electrical.
In this video, Electrical interlock is used.
I hope this video will be beneficial to electrical engineers, technicians, electrical trainees and many others.
A motor controller might include a manual or automatic means for starting and stopping the motor, selecting forward or reverse rotation, selecting and regulating the speed, regulating or limiting the torque, and protecting against overloads and faults.
Electrical elements are conceptual abstractions representing idealized electrical components, such as Electricity, Resistance, Capacitor, Diodes, LED, photo-diode, Rectifier, Zener-diode, SPST, SPDT, Relay, Transformer, inductors, Diac, Switches, Batteries, Breadboard, Mosfet, Logic-gate, AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, EX-OR, Series-Circuit, parallel-Circuit, Touch-switch, BJT, FET, LDR , VDR & Transistors etc.
electrical components, such as 3-Phase-Induction-Motor, Substation, AC-Motors, Auto-Transformers, CT-Instrument-Transformers, PT-Instrument-Transformers, Dc-motor, DC-Generator, ELCB, MCB, no-load-current-transformer, Power-Factor, Power-Transformer, synchronous-motor, Current-Transformer & PLC etc
