The goal is to transfer the regulation and rectification part, to directly extract the connections of the coils.

If you want to use an alternator to charge a battery, there is of course no need to do all that.
On the other hand, it will be necessary to identify the connections, because there are different configurations (and regulators), which do not work exactly in the same way.
